Westin-Nielsen
Road Show to visit South Florida
The Westin Nielsen road show will be back
in South Florida this month. While we love to have them,
I'm sure their visit has nothing to do with weather forecasted
on the first day of their visit in their
home town of White
Bear Lake, Minnesota (a High of 31 and a low
of 16)
.
If you would like Michelle and
the Road Show gang to visit you, please send
Michelle an e-mail at michelle@contract-specialties.com The traveling show
cures the response "I can't
leave my office" because they come to you. All
you have to do is walk outside for a showroom tour and see the
latest new products from Westin-Nielsen.
The team can do visits all day on Wednesday the
11th and in the
morning on Thursday the
12th. The show
will be back in South Florida on Monday,
January 23 at 2:00,
so they can do more stops Monday afternoon and
Tuesday, January
24th.
As in past
years, the President of Westin Nielsen, Kurt Norman will be
leading the Road Show team and the new
Road Show Specialist, Bruce Olson, will be traveling on both trips.
Drop Michelle an e-mail and get on the schedule.

| Introducing the
Sandee Chair from Westin-Nielsen
The "Name This Chair"
Chair
In June of
2011 Westin-Nielsen announced a collaborative
project with the design team of Ira Keer and David
Swanson, and unveiled
drawings of a new seating line. In our August CSI
Newsletter. we asked for your help in selecting a name
for this new chair with
the "Name this Chair" contest. We received over 100 entries,
and went to work selecting the best one when....
Tragedy
Strikes
On September 30, Westin-Nielsen
employee Sandee Heurung was killed in an automobile accident
in Northern
Minnesota. Sandee was the wife of the
Westin-Nielsen CFO, Jeff, the mother of two fine sons and
handsdown the most
fun-loving person anyone ever met. Everyone at the
factory was devastated and will all miss her smile and enthusiasm There is a big hole
in their lives that will be hard to fill. And
then a few people at the plant suggested....

An
Opportunity
In the days and weeks after Sandee's
death several independent conversations led to the same
question: "Can the new
chair be named 'Sandee'?" After talking it over with her
family, management decided to move forward with that plan. Sandee
loved the concept of the "Name That Chair" contest and
submitted several entries.
Like her, the new chair is strong, versatile and attractive.
And then, WN management had another idea....

The Chair
That Provides More Than a Seat
One of the charities that Sandee's
family designated for gifts was the Ronald McDonald House.
Sandee was a long-time McDonalds manager, and had a great
heart for kids. Westin Nielsen has teamed up with
Ronald McDonald House Minnesota to give you an opportunity to
support kids and their families that are dealing with health
issues. Westin Nielsen will donate $10 for every
seat sold in the new Sandee series. Your specification and
order can now go further and help provide a safe and
comfortable environment for families at a difficult point in
their lives. You can learn more about the work of the Ronald
McDonald House at their website, www.rmhc-um.org. Pricing, specifications and
images are available by visiting http://www.westinnielsen.com/seating-products/namethischair.
Samples will be available in mid-January and orders can be
placed for shipments beginning mid-February. Feel free to
contact us or the factory for more
information.
And the Winner Is...
As part of the "Name This Chair"
contest Westin Nielsen promised the winner two of
our Azuza chairs in the color of their choice. With the above
changes in mind, they thought about having a drawing from
all that submitted an entry to determine a winner. In the end, they decided
to donate 4 Azuza chairs and a table to the Ronald McDonald
House.

15 Ways
to Exercise in Under 5 Minutes
New Year's resolutions often include one
about getting in shape, so we decided to include this
article. You've probably heard of interval (or circuit)
training- it has to do with
interspersing regular workouts with short, intense bouts of
activity, and getting better results. Interval training can be
helpful even for people who aren't highly athletic. Pressed
for time? Hate going to the gym? That shouldn't keep you from
engaging in basic interval training. You don't need to buy
expensive equipment, or spend hours every day, to get fit
through short workouts. In this article, is outlined
several basic, equipment-free exercises that take under five
minutes. You can do them at home, or even at work, to burn fat
and build muscle tone and improve your balance. (See also: 10 Exercises to Do at Work
That Don't Make You Look Silly)
Although the following exercises
themselves are quick, you should never attempt them without
first adequately warming up and stretching. Of course, a
healthy adult should participate in at least 30 minutes of
exercise per day, so if you want to try some of these quick
exercises as your daily workout, choose three or four of them
and combine them to work all of the major muscle
groups.
