Leland International Wins at NeoConLeland Showroom Entrance
The company's new permanent space wins an award for best small showroom.
Proving that the best things can come in small packages, Leland International's new permanent space at Chicago's Merchandise Mart was named the 2009 best small showroom by the International Interior Design Association at the annual NeoCon World's Trade Fair, in June.
Leland International designs and manufactures contemporary seating and tables for the contract-furniture industry. The company's new 1,800-square-foot showroom reflects the minimalist elegance of an upscale European boutique with bare white walls, floors, and ceilings. Three new product lines were featured-the Cricket bench, the Ease collection, and Mod seating-along with updates to the award-winning Hammok collection. The winning showroom designers are Bruce Sienkowski and Frederick Hermann.

HBF introduces the Barbara Barry 2009 Collection at NEOCON
The renowned Barbara Barry once again brings her prolific design expertise to HBF with an extensive collection of seating and table products. Reflecting Barry's move toward simplicity of line and purity of form, each piece is elemental and spare as it is warm and inviting.

The sleek rounded profile of the Encircle sofa and lounge chairs creates an inviting form yet delivers a generous, luxurious comfort. Expert upholstery slips seamlessly onto an elegant stainless steel base. The lounge chair is also available with a self-return swivel base. Perfect Pitch lounge seating is defined by the raked back, low arms and mid century base. The deep seat is supported with a semi-attached padded back. The complementing Perfect Pitch side conference chair is as functional as it is handsome.

Serpentine lines and sublime contours create a stunning new profile with the Salon lounge group. The elegant settee style sofa has a tightly upholstered seat and rests atop a beautifully carved walnut base. The lounge chair is offered as a fully upholstered chair; the hallmark of Salon is the exquisite lounge chair with a walnut surround wrapping the upholstery.

Double Take exhibits functionality married to modern materials. The two tiers of the stainless steel frame can accommodate wood veneer, bronze glass or laminate materials providing multiple options. Carousel is defined by the expert detailing of a curved inside maple leg and a fine bead rim of the top. Available in varying shapes and size, Carousel is also offered with veneer, glass and laminate inset top option.

HBF Textiles wins the GOLD at NEOCON with the Campion Platt Collection
Inspired by natural forms, Campion Platt creates a new eco collection for HBF Textiles. Campion re-interpreted the traditional ideas of weaving, quilting, and stitching and set them against our visual perceptions of landscape forms and the macro environment. The six diverse woodland inspired patterns portray these abstractions from everyday nature.

Forest Light is a tightly woven linen and hi-sheen polyester textural pattern that has a soft hand and glistening sheen like that of a fresh forest rain. Forest Light provides a range of colors that extends throughout Campion's collection with 11 crisp hues that define his signature color palette for HBF Textiles. Mountain Tartan incorporates organic cotton and bamboo rayon in six velvety colors. With Mountain Tartan, Platt worked from a historic tartan grid and updated the design to create a clipped quilt of random intersecting lines.

Rock Ledge and Woodland Trace both are comprised of post-consumer recycled polyester that re-interprets the wondrous craggy mountain terrains and the forest floor of fallen leaves and nettles. In Rock Ledge, the accent stitching plays an active role in moving your eye across this wonderfully sketched translation. Woodland Trace also portrays a sketched quality with a subtle crepe design in the background.

Rough Terrain is derived from an asymmetrical check that portrays linear fields when viewed from a higher vantage point. Available in six sumptuous bamboo chenille combinations. Velvet Ground, the signature piece from the collection, is a crushed bamboo velvet that portrays the beauty of a moss covered landscape with all its natural imperfections.
