What it means to be green
With countless products claiming the eco-friendly label - many bearing prominent "seals of approval" - a little definition might be in order.

With so many competing and confusing eco-labels out there, it has become hard to keep track of which green certification systems apply to which products, which labels are industry standards and which ones are recent start-ups.

To help you distinguish GreenGuard from Green Seal, Metropolis Magazine has compiled a glossary of the most important labels and terms in contemporary green interior design.
Tayco attains GREENGUARD Certification for all systems products
Tayco and the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) announced that Tayco has achieved GREENGUARD Certification for indoor air quality on all systems product lines that it manufactures.

"Tayco has long distinguished itself in the market by its sustainable products," notes GEI CEO Carl Smith, "GREENGUARD Certification of its furniture affirms Tayco's commitment to minimizing the impact of its products on the indoor environment."
