"Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.”

Forecasting the Color of Profit
Color communicates and color sells products, services, ideas, causes and even politicians. Uplifting colors dominate the 2006 contract forecast that will see colors in contrast and bright hues in combination, according to the Color Designers of Color Marketing Group (CMG). These industry experts expect to see more emotional response to color and the substantive colors they forecast for 2006 are uplifting, but not shocking.

The palette represents contract industries including Health Care, Hospitality/Entertainment, Retail, Institutional/Public Spaces and Office. All of the colors can be applicable to each industry segment in various forms. These colors represent a direction or a color shift from 2005 to 2006. While these colors are spectacular as stand alone colors, each color can be used in combination and with other materials and finishes.

See all (17) new colors at 2006 Contract Color Directions®. Here's a sampling:
  • Trench Coat - Reminiscent of tumbled stones. An architectural color, complex and hand forged, one of a kind.
  • "Creamy" Hollandaise – Yellow throws off its golden shroud and takes a brighter stand. Not too toned, not too clean, but speaks of balanced optimism.
  • My Blue Heaven – A little bit of calm and serenity, water based clear blue. Fulfills a desire for a blue that's not too icy or cold. Peaceful, hopeful, and realistic.

CMG is an international, not-for-profit Association of 1,300 Color Designers. Color Designers are professionals who enhance the function, salability and/or quality of a product through their knowledge and appropriate application of color.

Barbara Barry Collection

The new lounge and conference seating collection demonstrates the evolving hand of Barbara Barry that speaks to a modernity and luxury that has become synonymous with HBF. The award-winning Frame and Slice table series blends well with classic upholstered pieces to bring a refined look to contemporary business interiors.

Barbara Barry has been celebrated for her refined style, glamorous elegant designs and especially her devotion to detail. Her most recent collection for HBF offers the best of Barbara Barry!

HBF Textiles
How many times have we looked out the window during a flight across country and been awed by the beautiful tapestry of the landscape below? Alternating crops, jagged terrain, carved waterways incised into the earth; these elements are now depicted by the outstanding Aerial View Collection.

The Aerial View Collection, designed by Mary Jo Miller, translates landscape features as seen from an aerial perspective into a group of six upholstery fabric designs available in a total of 47 colorful options. Completing the collection are a chrome-fee leather, Free Way, and a polyester leather product, Vis-à- Vis.

Four of the six upholstery products are a part of HBF Textiles' Environmental Initiatives Program as they continually look for ways to add to their various platforms with innovative and environmental choices.
